[Performance requirements for power pipelines in Hubei's complex geology]
Hubei has a large landform span, karst and hilly structures in western Hubei, and the risk of foundation subsidence and soil lateral pressure is high. Additionally, high groundwater and acidic alluvial soils along the river in eastern Hubei pose a high risk of corrosion. In addition, the extreme temperature in central and eastern summer often exceeds 40 ° C. Buried power pipelines need to meet multiple requirements such as temperature resistance, deformation resistance, corrosion resistance, and insulation at the same time. Conventional PE and ordinary PVC pipelines are difficult to cover the entire scene.
[Core performance adaptability of high temperature CPVC power pipe]
The high temperature resistant CPVC power pipe Vicat softening point can reach more than 93 ° C, and the long-term use temperature range covers -5 ° C to 90 ° C. It can adapt to the operation requirements of the buried pipe network in the high temperature environment in Hubei in summer, and will not deform due to excessive temperature. The pipe ring stiffness can generally reach SN8 and above, and can withstand the soil side pressure and mild settlement stress in hilly areas. Its own material has acid and alkali corrosion resistance properties, which can adapt to the corrosive environment of acidic soil along the river and weak alkaline groundwater in karst areas. At the same time, the insulation performance is up to standard, which can avoid the risk of leakage. It is suitable for power transmission and distribution pipe networks of 10kV and below.
[Selection and construction points of CPVC power pipes in Hubei]
In the selection stage, pipes with ring stiffness of SN10 and above are preferred in karst and hilly areas in western Hubei, and pipes with wall thickness of ≥5mm can be selected in high groundwater areas along the river in eastern Hubei. In the construction stage, sharp gravel needs to be cleaned in advance after the trench is excavated to avoid scratching the outer wall of the pipe; in karst and settlement-prone areas, a sand cushion layer with a thickness of more than 10cm needs to be laid to buffer the stress, and the interface is connected by a sealing ring socket to ensure sealing; in rainy season, the trench drainage needs to be done well to avoid the floating and dislocation of the pipe; when backfilling, fine soil is preferred to be filled to the top of the pipe above 30cm and then layered and compacted to avoid external extrusion causing the deformation of the pipe.
Under the premise of reasonable selection and standardized construction, the service life of high-temperature CPVC power pipes can reach more than 50 years, which can greatly reduce the operation and maintenance costs of the power pipe network in the later stage, and adapt to the needs of various municipal power grid renovations in the province and power drainage projects in the park.
