Hubei urban and rural pipeline network construction demand continues to expand
In the past two years, Hubei has accelerated the promotion of municipal water supply and drainage transformation, rural drinking water safety improvement, and old gas pipe network renewal and other livelihood projects. In the first half of 2024, more than 1,200 new urban and rural pipe network projects were started in the province, and the total laying mileage exceeded 8,000 kilometers. Market demand has increased by more than 40% year-on-year.

Different pipe network scenarios have different requirements for pipeline parameters. The water supply pipe network needs to use PE water supply pipes produced from food-grade raw materials, and the pressure bearing grade needs to reach more than 1.5 times the engineering design pressure; the drainage and sewage pipe network should use double-wall corrugated pipes with ring stiffness that meets SN8 and above standards to resist soil settlement pressure; the gas pipe network needs to choose special PE gas pipes that meet national standards. Regular source factories can customize the pipe diameter and wall thickness according to the specific parameters of the project to reduce unnecessary material selection costs.
Pipeline construction and procurement precautions
Before the construction of plastic pipes, the factory inspection report of all batches of products needs to be checked to avoid unqualified products entering the site; before the trench is laid, the sharp gravel debris in the trench should be cleaned to avoid scratching the outer wall of the pipeline and causing leakage; during hot melt docking, the heating temperature and docking time should be strictly controlled, and no external force should be applied during the interface cooling stage. Directly docking the source factory of plastic pipes can save the intermediate circulation link, and the procurement cost can be reduced by 15% -20%. At the same time, production can be flexibly scheduled according to the project progress to ensure the timeliness of supply.
