The transformation of Huangshi industrial and mining area, plastic pipes to improve the water supply and drainage system of living areas

Due to the early construction of Huangshi Industrial and Mining Area, which focused on production and matching, the water supply and drainage system in the living area has long suffered from problems such as aging pipe network and unreasonable layout. Unstable water pressure and water accumulation in rainy days have become daily troubles for residents. In this area renovation project, plastic pipes have become the core material selection for improving the water supply and drainage system due to their strong corrosion resistance, convenient construction, and adaptation to complex terrain.

In response to the current situation of high building density and complex underground pipelines in the area, the construction team replaced the original corroded metal pipelines with thin-walled plastic water supply branches, accurately docked the residential pipelines, and effectively improved the stability of water supply and water quality safety. In the optimization of the drainage system, large-diameter plastic drainage pipelines were selected to re-plan the pipeline network path, and rain and sewage diversion nodes were added to completely solve the problem of poor drainage and easy blockage of the old pipeline network.

In addition, the lightweight characteristics of plastic pipes greatly reduce the impact of construction on residents' daily travel and shorten the renovation period. After the renovation is completed, the water pressure of residents in the area is stable and up to standard, and there is no water accumulation in rainy days. The living environment has been significantly improved, laying a solid foundation for the transformation of the industrial and mining area into a livable living area.
