As a commonly used pipe network material in municipal engineering, buried plastic pipes are made of polymer resin as the core raw material and formed by standardized processes such as extrusion and injection molding, which can adapt to the pressure transmission and medium discharge requirements of different buried working conditions. In recent years, this type of pipeline has been widely used in buried projects such as the renovation of main and secondary arteries in Xiaogan City, the rain and sewage diversion project, and the supporting construction of sponge cities. The actual operation has verified that the performance is stable and meets the construction requirements of urban road buried projects.
In terms of core selling points, the first is corrosion resistance and impermeability to adapt to complex working conditions. The buried environment is more exposed to soil acid and alkali, rain and various miscellaneous media. Plastic pipes have no risk of oxidation and rust of metal pipes, and there is no easy cracking and leakage problem of traditional cement pipes. The pipe wall is smooth and anti-scaling, and the overall leakage rate is much lower than that of traditional pipes. After laying saline and alkaline soil sections in some old urban areas of Xiaogan, after more than 3 years of operation and sampling, there is no pipe wall corrosion and interface leakage, which can effectively reduce the frequency of later operation and maintenance.
The second is to facilitate construction and shorten the construction period. Under the same specification conditions, the weight of buried plastic pipelines is only 1/7 of that of metal pipelines and 1/10 of that of cement pipelines. The transfer and pipe distribution can be completed without large lifting equipment. Mature technologies such as hot melt connection and elastic sealing connection are adopted, and the joints have good sealing performance and high operation efficiency. In a 2.2-kilometer main road buried pipe network renovation project in Xiaogan, the construction period of this type of pipeline is shortened by 40% compared with similar projects using traditional pipes, which greatly reduces the impact of road construction on citizens' travel.
The third is environmental protection, durability and long service life. The raw materials of the product meet the environmental protection requirements of municipal engineering, no harmful substances are precipitated, and it will not cause secondary pollution to the surrounding soil and groundwater. Under normal buried conditions, the designed service life can reach 50 years, which is much higher than the design life of traditional pipes of 20-30 years. The first batch of pilot application of this type of pipeline in Xiaogan has been running for 8 years. The performance indicators of regular sampling inspections meet the requirements of national standards, and there is no structural damage.
The fourth is that the comprehensive operation and maintenance cost is lower. Plastic pipes have good anti-settlement performance and can be adapted to the normal working conditions of mild road settlement. Daily operation and maintenance do not need to carry out high-frequency operations such as rust prevention, scale cleaning, and leak plugging. According to the statistics of Xiaogan Municipal Operation and Maintenance Department, the annual operation and maintenance cost of the pipeline network is only about 35% of the section using traditional pipes, and the long-term cost advantage is obvious.
In terms of applicable scenarios and suitable populations, the applicable scenarios of this type of pipeline cover urban road rain and sewage diversion buried pipe network construction, municipal water supply and drainage buried projects, road supporting power communication casing buried construction, sponge city supporting seepage and drainage pipe network construction, and old urban pipe network upgrade and reconstruction projects. The suitable population includes municipal engineering construction units, road construction general contractors, pipe network operation and maintenance management units, engineering design units and other relevant entities with pipeline selection needs.
At present, the production and application of such pipelines meet the requirements of national and industry-related standards such as "Buried Polyethylene (PE) Pipeline System" and "Technical Standards for Plastic Pipelines for Urban Drainage". Products entering the supply sequence of Xiaogan Municipal Engineering have passed the inspection of third-party authoritative organizations, and have undergone multiple rounds of working condition simulation tests and small-scale pilot verification before landing, which can stably meet the various needs of urban road buried projects.
