Heavy-duty road surfaces in the factory area are subject to repeated rolling by forklifts, trucks, and other heavy vehicles on a daily basis. The selection of underground buried pipes is directly related to the long-term stability of the pipeline. Steel bellows have become a popular choice for such scenarios due to their excellent structural performance. Here are the specific selection reference points.

First look at the ring stiffness parameters. Under heavy-duty pavement, the pipeline needs to withstand the superposition of the overlying earth pressure and the dynamic load pressure. It is recommended to choose a steel belt corrugated pipe with a ring stiffness of ≥8kN/m2; if the total weight of vehicles passing on the road exceeds 20 tons, it needs to be upgraded to ≥10kN/m2 to ensure that the pipeline will not deform or break due to long-term compression.

The second is the adaptation of burial depth. Different burial depths correspond to large differences in pressure. When the burial depth is 1.5-3 meters, conventional wall thickness 8kN/m2 ring stiffness pipes can be selected; if the burial depth exceeds 3 meters or the road surface is a heavy-duty operation area, it needs to be matched with corresponding thickened pipes. At the same time, combined with the on-site soil bearing capacity, if necessary, increase the cushion reinforcement to avoid uneven pipeline stress.

Then consider the medium adaptation. If the transportation is industrial wastewater or corrosive liquid, you need to choose a steel belt corrugated pipe with a corrosion-resistant coating on the inner wall. The coating material should conform to the chemical properties of the medium to prevent the pipe wall from being corroded and causing leakage. If it is rainwater or clean water transportation, conventional steel belt corrugated pipes can meet the needs.

In addition, the interface method is also crucial. Under heavy-duty conditions, the pipeline interface is complex, and hot-melt docking or electrofusion connection is preferred. This type of interface has strong sealing and firm structure, which can avoid the loosening and disconnection of the interface due to vehicle rolling and ensure the overall sealing of the pipeline.

Finally, when selecting the type, it is also necessary to consider the construction conditions of the factory area, such as the size of the construction space and the condition of the hoisting equipment, and select the pipe with the appropriate diameter. At the same time, it is necessary to comply with the relevant municipal and industrial pipeline construction specifications to ensure that the installed pipeline can serve stably for a long time and reduce later maintenance costs.
